Kades Kounty is the one pub in the village. It always has top bands on Saturday and Sunday. Monday night is card night, many people coming from surrounding areas to play "45".

The building above, now a dwelling, is what remains of the Glenville forge where the late Tadg Cosgrove and John Cosgrove shoed horses for many years. The poem below recalls its importance in old village life.
